I did eventually get on Allods last night, but I’m not sure I was too thrilled with what I was hearing in zone chat. Most high level players were warning the newer low levelers not to waste their money on the game. I thought the main thing they did was make players walk slower so that they would be more inclined to buy the new mounts they just put in.

I hate to say it, but I’m a mount whore, and I probably would have bought one if I had any desire to stay in the game. But it’s a lot more than that. To start they nerfed everyone’s damage – so in order to even compete at high levels – you have to purchase this incense kit for $3.50. That’s not TOO bad.

$3.50 for Incense to do Dmg you should be able to do normally.

Next we have the Water of Death which allows you to reset your talents. And I thought 50g in WoW was bad. This is $9.00 to reset your talents, since 1000 g costs $10.00 real dollars. Then there is this new issue of cursing your items when you die. You can buy something for almost $20.00 to keep your items from being cursed or buy another item that removes the curse for less money. From what I’ve heard people have stopped PVPing for fear of their items being cursed and having to waste money.

Buy everything you should have at default and it will cost you way over $100.00

They’re basically nerfing everything like you have next to no bag space, and have to spend $10.00 just to have a decent amount of bag space. Then you have to spend money to have bank space. I’m OK with a cash shop as I understand that people have to make money somehow. But I don’t feel the way to go is nerfing players to force them to buy.

I’m very disappointed as this was the first MMORPG in awhile that I got my husband to play with me, and that he and myself both actually enjoyed. You can see the community outrage here on the forums. I’m probably not going to invest any more time in the game unless they make this a little more playable. I have even noticed at level 7 that it takes FOREVER to level and you do next to no damage. Oh well.
