Blizz backed off Real ID forcing players to disclose their real name on the forums. Very cool and I’m glad they listened. Check out the full post here.

I am purposefully not posting much on this as it lives somewhere in the gray where it’s hard to tell whether spreading the news it helpful, interesting, or harmful. I’ll start you on the breadcrumb trail though and it will be up to you whether or not you’d like to follow it.

The beta will be starting on July 10th according to FFXIV’s Twitter account.

but nobody really cares with all this Real ID shit going on. My husband pointed out something kind of scary last night. And it is very odd considering the weird name they chose – being Real ID. See this was an act proposed in 2005 to create a national ID number of sorts. It’s called the Real ID Act…how strange. If you care, the post is here – I honestly don’t really care though!

WTB a Tinfoil Hat for the forums.

I did eventually get on Allods last night, but I’m not sure I was too thrilled with what I was hearing in zone chat. Most high level players were warning the newer low levelers not to waste their money on the game. I thought the main thing they did was make players walk slower so that they would be more inclined to buy the new mounts they just put in.

I hate to say it, but I’m a mount whore, and I probably would have bought one if I had any desire to stay in the game. But it’s a lot more than that. To start they nerfed everyone’s damage – so in order to even compete at high levels – you have to purchase this incense kit for $3.50. That’s not TOO bad.

$3.50 for Incense to do Dmg you should be able to do normally.

Next we have the Water of Death which allows you to reset your talents. And I thought 50g in WoW was bad. This is $9.00 to reset your talents, since 1000 g costs $10.00 real dollars. Then there is this new issue of cursing your items when you die. You can buy something for almost $20.00 to keep your items from being cursed or buy another item that removes the curse for less money. From what I’ve heard people have stopped PVPing for fear of their items being cursed and having to waste money.

Buy everything you should have at default and it will cost you way over $100.00

They’re basically nerfing everything like you have next to no bag space, and have to spend $10.00 just to have a decent amount of bag space. Then you have to spend money to have bank space. I’m OK with a cash shop as I understand that people have to make money somehow. But I don’t feel the way to go is nerfing players to force them to buy.

I’m very disappointed as this was the first MMORPG in awhile that I got my husband to play with me, and that he and myself both actually enjoyed. You can see the community outrage here on the forums. I’m probably not going to invest any more time in the game unless they make this a little more playable. I have even noticed at level 7 that it takes FOREVER to level and you do next to no damage. Oh well.

Gipat is now live! Although I can’t even download the patch because the patch server is down and because of that I keep getting Error 2.8. The forums are rampant with complaints about FREE TO PLAY GAMES SUCK CUZ THEY CAN’T ANTICIPATE A LARGE AMOUNT OF DOWNLOADS. Ah simplistic minds are a wonderful thing to mock ;D. While it’s annoying, I have other things to do so I don’t mind waiting.

“Yes, it’s a shame. We understand the wrath of players and the developers are sorry because they did everything they could to have a simultaneous release date,” Tanaka told the French gaming website, “but unfortunately they have encountered many technical problems on the development of the game for PlayStation 3. We strive to release the game as soon as possible.”

Ps3 Nazi

Too bad.
